Damon Hill delivers Jordan's 1st Formula 1 win in a chaotic day at Spa.

Two early collisions alter the field dramatically, forcing 1 re-start and then another collision follows on the re-start eliminating pole-sitter Mika Hakkinen when the backup car is used by David Coulthard as a result of the previous melee. Both Ferraris, driven by Michael Schumacher and Eddie Irvine, are KO'd by mid-race accidents.

In the end, Hill leads a 1-2 Jordan finish with teammate Ralf Schumacher following, and just 8 cars running at the end in the rain. Sauber's Jean Alesi joins the duo on the podium.
