Schumacher wins it in the pits after serving a 10-second penalty as he masters the wet course in Great Britian. Schumacher finishes ahead of Mclaren's Mika Hakkinen by 23 seconds in a race dominated by rain and tires. Schumacher's Ferrari teammate Eddie Irvine takes 3rd place.

Eleven drivers retire after spinning off in the wet conditions.
