Ralf Schumacher eludes mishaps to win at Nurburgring.

Schumacher brings his Williams home in front as problems thin the field's leading men. Big brother Michael Schumacher spins off into the gravel while battling Juan Pablo Montoya. However, Michael keeps his Ferrari running and makes it back on to the track with assistance to finish 5th. Meanwhile, Montoya takes 2nd to give Williams a 1-2 finish.

However, the race's dominant car is Kimi Raikkonen's Mclaren, and he the Finn leads from pole, running 5 seconds ahead of Schumacher's Williams before his engine blows up.
