Alonso starts strong, moving his Ferrari up from P5 to P3 on the opening lap, and then takes the fight to Nico Rosberg and Sebastian Vettel while taxing his tires, opting for a 4-stop strategy that positions him for the win. Alonso easily holds off Lotus' Kimi Raikkonen for the win, while Raikkonen duels with Felipe Massa's Ferrari, before gapping him to take the 2nd step on the podium. Pole-sitter Rosberg eventually brings his Mercedes home in 6th after the Merc again struggles with tire wear.
