Vettel converts improved pace, better tire usage and a 2-stop strategy to upstage Mercedes after another dominating 1-2 by the Silver Arrows in Melbourne offered promise of another dull season of an intramural battle for every race. However, Ferrari ups its game and captures its first win since Barcelona in 2013.

Kimi Raikkonen overcomes an early puncture just past pit lane to rally back from last to finish 4th in the sister Ferrari. Toro Rosso's Max Verstappen finishes 7th to become the youngest ever point scorer in F1.
