Montoya capitalizes in changing conditions to capture the win in his final drive for Williams. Pre-race rain spices up the start, and Williams makes the right call when to switch Montoya onto dry tires, with Ferrari pole-sitter Rubens Barrichello making the switch too late, losing out.

Barrichello finishes 3rd after being denied the victory in front of his home crowd, while McLaren's Kimi Raikkonen is unable to win a tight battle with Montoya for the win.
