#6 Longhorns run away for a 44-14 beating off the Tar Heels.

North Carolina hangs close during the 1st half, falling behind at halftime when Dusty Mangum kicks a pair of FGs after a 14-14 tie early in the 2nd quarter. But the 2nd half belongs to Texas as Cedric Benson extends the lead to 26-14 with a 7-yard TD run in the 3rd quarter.

The Longhorns then explode in the 4th quarter. After Mangum's 3rd FG and a safety, Nathan Vasher returns a punt 44 yards for a TD, en route to a Texas-record 153 punt return yards. Brett Robin adds a 12-yard TD run w/ :36 left as Mack Brown eschews taking a knee.
