#1 Hurricanes start slow, then finish off the Trojans 38-7.

Ken Dorsey throws for 299 yards and 2 TDs to lead Miami. The Hurricanes hold just a 10-7 lead over Troy State until Dorsey hits Kevin Beard with a 22-yard TD pass late in the 1st half.

Miami breaks the game open in the 3rd quarter when Ed Reed returns an INT 27 yards for a score. Jarrett Payton and Willis McGahee finish off the Trojans with a pair of TDs in the 3rd quarter.
