Virginia Tech rolls to a 31-0 halftime lead and coasts to the victory. Grant Noel throws for 190 yards and 3 TDs, and Keith Jones totals 181 yards and 1 TD on the ground.

The Hokies bury Virginia early as Noel hits Jarrett Ferguson with a 17-yard TD pass early in the 1st quarter, and then adds a 26-yarder to Andre Davis to open a 17-0 lead in the 1st quarter. Noel then hits a streaking Davis for a 58-yard TD pass early in the 2nd before Jones adds a 1-yard TD run.
