Miami is on cruise control until Temple converts a pair of turnovers into 2 TD runs by Tanardo Sharps, pulling the Owls within 21-14. However, a fumble by Sharps early in the 2nd half sets up the 3rd of 4 TD runs by Willis McGahee. McGahee finishes with 124 yards and 4 TDs rushing.

Ken Dorsey throws for 314 yards and 2 TDs. Dorsey hits Kevin Beard with a 6-yard TD pass in the 1st quarter, coming between a pair of McGahee TD runs that open a 21-0 lead for the Hurricanes.
