Miami strikes on its 3rd offensive play with a 50-yard TD pass from Brock Berlin to Roscoe Parrish and never looks back. The Hurricanes hold East Carolina to 229 yards and force 5 turnovers, including one that Santonio Thomas recovers in the end zone for a TD in the 4th quarter.

Frank Gore rushes for 134 yards, his 3rd straight 100-yard game to start the season, and also adds a 1-yard TD run in the 2nd quarter for a 14-0 Miami lead.
