Cavaliers knock off the Pirates 35-20.

Cedric Peerman rushes for 173 yards and 2 TDs helping Virginia to consecutive wins after a struggling start to the season. With East Carolina leading 6-0, Peerman breaks loose for a 73-yard TD run on the final play of the 1st quarter.

Peerman then adds a 60-yard TD run early in the 2nd quarter for a 14-6 lead. The Cavaliers push the lead to 28-6 before a 2nd half rally by the Pirates draws them within 28-20 until holder Scott Deke hits John Phillips for a 12-yard TD pass on a fake FG in the 4th quarter.
