Game Notes

#10 Yellow Jackets overcome the Tigers for a 39-34 win and 1st major bowl berth in 43 years.

Georgia Tech stamps its trip to the Orange Bowl with a late TD overcoming a huge rally by Clemson and a monster night by C.J. Spiller. The Tigers trail 33-20 starting the 4th quarter, but Spiller's 4th TD starts the rally, and Andre Ellington's 1-yard TD run w/ 6:11 to play gives Clemson a 34-33 lead.

Georgia Tech wins it when Jonathan Dwyer scores with a 15-yard TD run w/ 1:20 to play. Dwyer runs for 120 yards and 2 TDs, while Josh Nesbitt throws for 136 yards and 1 TD, while running for 103 yards and 1 TD.

However, the Jackets' success is almost upset by Spiller's effort. Spiller rushes for 233 yards and 4 TDs on 20 carries.
