Hurricanes stage a late rally and then late stand to upset the #18 Seminoles 38-34.

Miami overcomes a 23-14 deficit, finally taking the lead on Graig Cooper's 3-yard TD run w/ 1:53 after a 40-yard hookup from Jacory Harris to Travis Benjamin sets it up. Then Miami holds Florida State on 5 plays inside the 5-yard line, the final one an incomplete pass to Jarmon Fortson in the end zone.

With defenses on their heels throughout, Harris and Christian Ponder light it up. Ponder throws for 294 yards and 2 TDs. His 21-yard TD pass to Taiwan Easterling in the 3rd quarter gives the Seminoles a 23-14 lead. Harris gives Miami a brief 24-23 lead with a 1-yard TD run early in the 4th quarter, but Markus White returns an INT 31 yards for a score after Harris is hit on the arm leaving him partially numb in his right arm.

However, Harris responds with a 34-yard TD pass to Cooper to tie it, only to see Florida State drive back for a 45-yard FG by Dustin Hopkins to regain the lead.

Harris throws for 386 yards and 2 TDs, with Benjamin catching 4 passes for 128 yards and 1 TD.
