The Bears use an effective if unspectacular attack, opening a 10-0 lead in the 1st half after Jim Miller's 1-yard TD pass to Fred Baxter. Miller extends the lead with a 13-yard TD pass to Marty Booker in the 3rd quarter. Miller throws for 232 yards, with rookie David Terrell catching 7 passes for 91 yards.
