Game Notes

Packers hold off a late rally to beat the Ravens 31-23.

Green Bay jumps on Baltimore for a 31-10 lead before Randall Cunningham replaces an injured Elvis Grbac and leads the Ravens on a pair of late scores before the Packers recover the ensuing onside kick in the final minute. Brett Favre lights up the top-rated Baltimore defense for 337 yards and 3 TDs helping the Packers build a commanding lead.

The Ravens had gone ahead first following a fumble, taking a 7-0 lead on Grbac's 18-yard TD pass to Travis Taylor in the 1st quarter. But then Favre and the Packers take over with 17 points in the 2nd quarter, highlighted by 2 TD passes from Favre. His 2-yard TD pass to Bubba Franks midway through the 4th quarter allows Green Bay to coast until the final minute rally.
