Cincinnati erases a 13-point deficit in the final minutes of regulation, and then Neil Rackers caps an 86-yard drive off the 1-yard line with a 31-yard FG after missing 2 short FGs and a PAT in regulation. Jon Kitna overcomes a slow start to throw for 411 yards and 2 TDs.

Twice Pittsburgh seems to have the Bengals on the ropes only to see it slip away. Leading 14-0 in the 1st half, a mishandled long snap on a FG attempt, ends up in a 56-yard return for a TD by Brian Simmons. Leading 23-10 late in the 4th quarter, Kitna hits Ron Dugans with a 6-yard TD pass w/ 2:46 to play, and then Danny Farmer for an 18-yard TD pass w/ :37 left. However, Rackers, who earlier missed from 32 and 28 yards, pushes the PAT wide right leaving the game tied.
