Chargers prevail over the Broncos 30-27 in OT.

Steve Christie hits a 27-yard FG w/ 3:01 left in OT as San Diego gets the winning formula. The Chargers ride LaDainian Tomlinson while Mike Shanahan turns the late game into a play-calling dream for journeyman Steve Beuerlein rather than continuing to feed Clinton Portis the ball. The end result is Denver gets one long FG attempt in OT, while San Diego gets a chip shot.

Tomlinson rushes for 220 yards and 3 TDs, while catching 11 passes for 51 yards. Portis rushes for 159 yards and 2 TDs on just 23 carries. Meanwhile, Beuerlein tosses 2 INTs and loses a fumble, yet Shanahan goes pass happy when it matters most.

The Broncos force OT when Jason Elam hits a 24-yard FG w/ 1:39 to play in regulation. The Chargers attempt to win it on a 49-yard FG by Christie in OT that gets blocked, and Elam then misses a 53-yarder prior to San Diego's winning drive.
