Michael Husted hits a 38-yard FG w/ 1:08 left after San Diego had erased an 15-point deficit and dominated the 2nd half with the exception of a 99-yard TD pass from Trent Green to Marc Boerigter. Boerigter's huge TD reception gave Kansas City a 21-6 lead in the 3rd quarter.

However, the Chargers rally getting a pair of TD passes from Drew Brees, including a 3-yard to Fred McCrary to give them the lead 22-21 in the 4th quarter. San Diego's defense is unable to stop the Chiefs on the game-winning march to Husted's FG.

Brees throws for 242 yards and the 2 TDs, while LaDainian Tomlinson rushes for 131 yards. Green throws for 337 yards and 3 TDs to lead the Chiefs.
