Broncos hold off the Chiefs for a 31-24 win.

Trent Green's final pass to the end zone comes up empty as Kansas City's attempt to rally from 31-14 down in the 4th quarter falls short. Clinton Portis proves too much for the Chiefs, accounting for all 4 Denver TDs.

Portis rushes for 130 yards and 3 TDs and adds a 66-yard TD reception following a great move to fake out a Kansas City defender. However, the Chiefs rally with the help of an electric move by Dante Hall on a 49-yard TD reception that cuts Denver's lead to 31-21 in the 4th quarter. Hall also had a 75-yard TD reception in the 1st half.

Priest Holmes rushes for 161 yards but misses most of the 2nd half with an injury. Green throws for 310 yards and 2 TDs. Brian Griese throws for 297 yards and 1 TD with Portis totalling 205 yards rushing and receiving.
