Game Notes

Patriots stage a huge rally to stun the Bears 33-30.

Trailing 30-25, with a 2nd chance after an interception is reversed on replay review, Tom Brady hits David Patten with a 20-yard TD pass w/ :21 to play to complete New England's comeback from a 27-6 deficit in the 3rd quarter. Brady goes 36-of-55 for 328 yards and 3 TDs.

However, Chicago appeared to have the game in hand when it converts a pair of turnovers into scores as part of a stretch where the Bears score 21 points on possessions totalling just 1:26 to take a 27-6 lead.

But Brady rallies New England with 10 points in the 3rd quarter, with the 1st of 2 TD passes to Kevin Faulk, and then cuts Chicago's lead to 30-25 w/ a 36-yard TD pass w/ 2:46 to play. The Patriots' final hopes appeared to end when Bryan Robinson appeared to intercept Brady, but replays showed he never controlled the ball presenting New England with another chance that Brady then pays off.
