Oakland makes a dominating statement in avenging its playoff loss to New England, but must withstand a late scare after the 2nd of 2 TD returns. The Raiders open a 27-13 lead as New England manages just a defensive TD, but Kevin Faulk returns a kickoff 86 yards for a TD w/ :59 left forcing Oakland to recover an onside kick before sealing the win.

Rich Gannon throws for 297 yards and adds a TD run while Zach Crockett scores on a pair of short runs. The Raiders open a 24-6 lead on Crockett's 2-yard TD run that caps a 15-play, 9:42 drive.
