Pittsburgh rallies from a 14-3 deficit while stalling the Cleveland offense until the final minutes. Tommy Maddox throws for 239 yards and 2 TDs, while Amos Zereoue steps in and rushes for 111 yards.

The Browns jump in front early, igniting by an 87-yard punt return for a score by Dennis Northcutt. However, Maddox rallies the Steelers with a pair of TD passes in the 2nd quarter, hitting Hines Ward with a 20-yard TD pass and then Mark Bruener for a 1-yarder.
