Washington dominates, holding Houston to just 166 yards offense, while forcing 3 turnovers and recording a safety on special teams. Patrick Ramsey tosses a pair of TDs and Ladell Betts and Kenny Watson both rush for over 100 yards.

Ramsey connects with Rock Cartwright for a 12-yard TD pass and then the Redskins record a safety when Houston is called for holding in the end zone on punt protection. Ramsey's 13-yard TD pass to Derrius Thompson opens a 16-3 lead in the 2nd quarter.
