Denver's offense wakes up in the 2nd half after Green Bay scores early but fails to expand the lead in the 1st half. Craig Morton hits Haven Moses with a 14-yard TD pass early in the 2nd half to take the lead.

Rob Lytle has his 1st career 100-yard day, rushing for 110 yards and a 2-yard TD run in the 3rd quarter. Green Bay's offense is stagnant for much of the game, with its lone highlight coming on punter David Beverly's 57-yard pass to Aundra Thompson, but Chester Marcol misses 2 short FGs and the Broncos seal the outcome sacking David Whitehurst for a safety late in the 4th quarter.
