Dallas scores 28 straight points in the 2nd half after trailing San Diego 24-14. Danny White tosses 3 TD passes while the Cowboys capitalize on 7 turnovers by the Chargers, offsetting 371 yards and 3 TDs by Dan Fouts.

Timmy Newsome scores on a pair of 1-yard runs in the 3rd quarter, giving Dallas a 28-24 lead. White then extends the lead with a 12-yard TD pass to Jay Saldi and a 9-yarder to Billy Joe Dupree giving the Cowboys a 42-24 lead.

Dallas' rally overcomes a huge first half performance by John Jefferson, who catches 8 passes for 160 yards before leaving with an injury. Kellen Winslow catches 5 passes for 110 yards and 2 TDs.
