Pittsburgh gets 22 points the hard way with 2 TDs, 2 FGs and a safety that proves to be the winning margin. Lynn Dickey throws for 289 yards and 3 TDs, but its Packer mistakes that are their undoing as Dickey suffers 3 INTs.

Pittsburgh goes in front first when a bad punt snap goes over David Beverly's head and into the end zone for a safety. The Packers recover, taking a 14-9 lead on a pair of TD passes from Dickey to Gerry Ellis. However, the Steelers go ahead on a pair of FGs by Matt Bahr in the 3rd quarter, and then extend the lead with Terry Bradshaw's 4-yard TD pass to Rocky Bleier in the 4th quarter.
