Big plays turn things Falcons' way in a 34-27 win over the Broncos.

Atlanta gets a huge catch-and-run from William Andrew to take the lead in the 2nd half, and critical turnover at the goal line. Andrews hauls in a short pass from Steve Bartkowski, steamrolls one defender then follows his blockers for an 86-yard TD and 21-20 lead. Later, Denver is denied a tying TD when Steve Watson is hit while attempting to catch a pass at the goal line, and the ball bounces up for Buddy Curry to intercept it, preserving a 27-20 lead.

Andrews rushes for 73 yards and 2 TDs, while catching 3 passes for 106 yards and 1 TD. Steve DeBerg throws for 271 yards and 2 TDs, but also suffers 2 INTs, and the Broncos turn it over 4 times, falling short when the Falcons recover an onside kick following DeBerg's 2-yard TD pass to James Wright w/ 1:13 to play.
