Game Notes

Oilers KO the Jets 24-0.

Houston denies New York a wildcard spot, while providing fireworks on the sideline as Buddy Ryan tries to punch Kevin Gilbride, re-affirming that the Ryan clan knows defense, but fails all tests for class - one dad, two sons = 3 classless, self-promoting idiots.

The Jets enter with a wildcard berth in grasp with a win, but never threaten for the post-season. Backup Cody Carlson hits Ernest Givins with a 22-yard TD pass in the 1st quarter, and then Gary Brown for an 8-yard TD pass in the 2nd quarter. Meanwhile, the Jets fail to mount any offensive threat, managing just 164 total yards.

Carlson throws for 247 yards and 2 TDs, while Brown rushes for 85 yards, surpassing the 1,000-yard mark in just his 8th start.
