Patriots outlast the Jaguars for a 28-25 win in OT.

Adam Vinatieri's 6th FG of the game, from 40 yards, wins it after Jacksonville makes a big rally after New England opens a 22-0 lead. The Jaguars start the comeback with Mark Brunell's 51-yard Hail Mary to Jimmy Smith on the final play of the 1st half.

Brunell nearly duplicates the feat on the final play of regulation to avoid OT when his 58-yard heave is caught by Willie Jackson at the 1-foot line as time runs out. Brunell throws for 432 yards and 3 TDs.

The big play exploits aren't enough to overcome 17 penalties and the Patriots' big start. However, stalled drives forcing Vinatieri FGs keep Jacksonville in the game.
