Denver breaks out to a 28-7 lead in the 1st half and leads 35-14 before San Diego is able to scores some cosmetic points late. Terrell Davis leads with 178 yards and 1 TD.

John Elway hits Rod Smith and Ed McCaffrey for TD passes and a 14-0 lead. After Davis scores on a 5-yard TD run, Steve Atwater picks off a pass late in the 1st half and returns it 22 yards for a score and 28-7 edge. Eric Metcalf returns a punt 83 yards for a score to give the Chargers a brief spark, but Elway answers with his 3rd TD pass.
