Green Bay scores its 1st victory over Miami as its defense stalls drives, forcing the Dolphins to settle for 4 FGs until the closing minutes, when Dan Marino hits Charles Jordan with a 29-yard TD pass to draw them within 23-18.

However, forcing Miami to settle for FGs allows the Packers enough time to get Brett Favre on track. Favre throws for 253 yards and 2 TDs, hitting William Henderson for a 10-yard TD pass to take a 23-12 lead as Green Bay is able to win its 17th straight regular season game at Lambeau Field.
