New England turns victory into defeat when Kevin Henry picks off a careless pass by Drew Bledsoe with just over 2 minutes to play, setting up the tying score. Instead of running out the clock or pinning Pittsburgh deep, the Patriots are unable to defend a 21-13 lead and short field as Kordell Stewart hits Mark Bruener with a 1-yard TD pass and then Yancey Thigpen with a 2-point conversion.

Pittsburgh then wins it in OT on Norm Johnson's 31-yard FG. New England appeared to have the game in hand as Bledsoe tosses 3 TDs, including 2 in the 2nd quarter to open a 14-0 lead that stands up until his late miscue.
