Broncos hold off the Patriots rally for a 27-21 win on MNF.

Denver sprints out to a 17-0 lead, and benefits from a mistake-prone performance by New England to continue owning the Patriots, who have not beaten the Broncos since 1980. New England commits no turnovers, but makes several critical penalties, sustaining drives or costing field position as well as wasting timeouts.

The mistakes prove too much to overcome, and a final onside kick recovery by the Broncos seals the game after New England uses up its timeouts early. John Elway throws for 257 yards and 1 TD, while Terrell Davis runs for 2 TDs.

Davis' 9-yard TD run in the 2nd quarter gives Denver a 17-0 edge, but New England rallies behind Bledsoe, who throws for 289 yards and 2 TDs.
