Oakland snaps out of its 3-game losing streak to advance. Rich Gannon dices the New York defense, hitting 23-of-29 for 294 yards and 2 TDs with Jerry Rice catches 9 passes for 184 yards and 1 TD.

Gannon's 2-yard TD pass to Tim Brown in the 2nd quarter helps the Raiders open a 16-3 lead. The 4th quarter turns into a wild shootout with the Jets drawing within a TD twice, but Charlie Garner's 80-yard TD run w/ 1:27 left breaks New York's back.
