Game Notes

Patriots stun the Raiders 27-20 on big turnovers.

Los Angeles turns the ball over 6 times, resulting in several big results. After an early turnover sets up New England's 1st TD on a 13-yard pass from Tony Eason to Lin Dawson, the Raiders rally and go up 17-7 while riding Marcus Allen.

Los Angeles leads 20-17 in the 3rd quarter, when the Raiders follow up a New England turnover with one of their own, leading to a drive that results in Tony Franklin's 32-yard FG late in the 3rd quarter. Then Sam Seale fumbles the ensuing kickoff and Jim Bowman recovers in the end zone for the go-ahead score.

Ronnie Lippett picks off a pair of Marc Wilson passes, and Fred Marion recovers a fumble and then picks off Wilson setting up a time-killing drive that wipes out most of the Raiders' rally hopes.
