Game Notes

Broncos hold off the Raiders for 20-17 win and 1st AFC Championship.

Denver beats Oakland for the 1st time in 16 tries at Mile High Stadium as Craig Morton and Haven Moses light up the Raiders' secondary and the Broncos benefit from a controversial no-fumble call. Morton throws for 224 yards and 2 TDs, with Moses catching 5 for 168 yards and 2 TDs, including a 74-yarder for a 7-3 lead in the 1st half.

Denver goes up 14-3 when Jon Keyworth scores on a 1-yard run, 1 play after Rob Lytle appeared to fumble. Morton hits Moses for a 12-yard TD pass and 20-10 lead. However, Kenny Stabler's 2nd TD pass to Dave Casper pulls Oakland within 20-17, but the Broncos are able to control the ball and run out the remaining 3:16.
