Game Notes

Raiders pick off the Browns to ice a 14-12 win.

Mike Davis picks off Brian Sipe's pass into the end zone as Cleveland tries to avoid relying on Don Cockroft for a game-winning FG attempt in the final minute as Cockroft misses 2 FGs and has a PAT blocked in the 2-degree, minus-30 degree wind chill.

Davis earlier forces a fumble in Oakland territory thwarting a possible winning drive by the Browns. His backfield mate Lester Hayes picks off Sipe twice.

The Raiders also suffer three turnovers, and struggle with the field conditions, but put together 2 good drives, resulting in Mark van Eeghan TD runs, one late in the 1st half and another in the 4th quarter to erase Cleveland leads.
