Game Notes

Steelers rally in the 4th to beat the Rams 31-19 for their 4th World Championship.

Los Angeles leads 19-17 starting the 4th, but can't survive 2 big bombs from Terry Bradshaw to John Stallworth. The first over a leaping Rod Perry results in a 73-yard TD pass to put Pittsburgh in the lead, the second falling from the sky between 3 Ram defenders sets up Franco Harris' clinching 1-yard TD run with less than 2 minutes to play.

The Rams had gone in front in the 3rd quarter on Lawrence McCutcheon's halfback pass to Ron Smith for a 24-yard TD.

However, in the end, Bradshaw shakes off 3 INTs, to throw for 309 yards and 2 TDs, hooking up with Stallworth 3 times for 121 yards.
