Game Notes

Raiders complete their Wild run with a dominating 27-10 win over the Eagles.

Jim Plunkett throws for 3 TDs and Rod Martin picks off Ron Jaworski 3 times as Oakland cruises to its 2nd World Championship. Plunkett garners MVP honors with 261 yards passing.

The Raiders capitalize on Philadelphia mistakes, converting Martin's 1st INT into a 2-yard TD pass from Plunkett to Cliff Branch after a Eagles' penalty extends the drive. Plunkett's next strike is big and damaging as Kenny King converts a short pass into an 80-yard TD and 14-0 lead.

Philadelphia battles back, but two opportunities turn into a FG and a blocked FG leaving the Eagles trailing 14-3. Plunkett's 29-yard TD pass to Branch in the 3rd quarter cements Oakland's control with a 21-3 lead.
