Game Notes

The trophy goes to 'Chucky' and the Bucs after 48-21 beating of the Raiders.

Jon Gruden gets the last laugh on his former team as Tampa Bay's defense dominates and the offense contributes as well. The Bucs hold Oakland to just 3 first downs in the 1st half, 259 total yards and force league MVP Rich Gannon into 5 INTs, 3 returned for scores.

Dexter Jackson picks Gannon twice in the 1st half, setting up scoring situations, and earns MVP honors, while Dwight Smith picks him twice in the 2nd half returning both for TDs, while Derrick Brooks returns one for a TD to clinch the win after the Raiders drew within 34-21 with a brief rally.

Brad Johnson throws for 215 yards, connecting with Keenan McCardell on a pair of TDs, including a key one late in the 1st half on a 5-yarder for a 20-3 lead, and then combining again on a 8-yarder to start the 2nd half.
