Ryan Longwell slips a 35-yard FG over the crossbar with :54 left to break a 28-28 tie. San Francisco had just tied the score on Jeff Garcia's 4th TD pass on the previous possession. After the decisive FG, Garcia is unable to rally the 49ers.

Garcia throws for 336 yards. Brett Favre throws for 266 yards and just 1 TD, but connects with Dorsey Levens on a 37-yard pass and draws a 33-yard pass interference call with another throw to set up Ahman Green's 1-yard TD run for a 28-21 lead earlier in the 4th quarter.
