Raiders hammer the Jets 31-7.

Oakland knocks Vinny Testaverde from the game and clinches its 1st playoff berth since 1993. The Raiders break out with 21 points in the 2nd quarter, sparked by Eric Allen's 50-yard INT return for a score. Allen and William Thomas each record a pair of interceptions.

Rich Gannon follows with a 7-yard TD pass to Andre Rison and Tyrone Wheatley adds a 1-yard TD run before halftime. Gannon stretches the lead to 28-0 with a 4-yard TD pass to Tim Brown in the 4th quarter.
