Race Notes

Giancarlo Fisichella doesn't get a podium celebration, but does get a belated victory at Interlagos.

When a crash and debris following a spin out by Mark Webber, taking out Fernando Alonso on a wet track brings about a pre-mature end to the race, Kimi Raikkonen is declared the initial winner. But two days later, scoring proves Jordan's Fisichella to be the winner by virtue of leading the 54th lap.

In the end, its Raikkonen finishing 2nd and Alonso 3rd.

Adding to the surreal finish, Fisichella's car catches fire in the pits after the race stoppage, and Eddie Jordan challenges the outcome from below while Raikkonen stands atop the podium as winner, and Fisichella in 2nd place.
