Alex Zanardi coasts to the win in Surfers Paradise.

Zanardi leads the field home under a yellow flag as accidents result in a timed race, and one final incident causes the final laps to be run behind the safety car. Zanardi was able to leapfrog Dario Franchitti to grab the lead after the 1st series of pit stops and they run in that order for the remainder of the race. Christian Fittipaldi finishes 3rd.
