Earnhardt Jr. bests the field in his 12th Winston Cup start, on the same track he took his 1st Busch Series victory. Todd Burton and Bobby Labonte finish 2nd and 3rd after being unable to mount a challenge on the last stage of green flag racing. Earnhardt Jr. quickly dispatches Labonte after a restart with 30+ laps to go, and pulls away while Burton and Labonte battle for 2nd.
