Fernandez picks up the pieces after Alex Tagliani spins out from the lead on the 1st lap of a late re-start. Tagliani, who had led most of the race from the pole, then repeats his error on the next re-start allowing Fernandez to roll home to the win under a Yellow Flag. Jimmy Vasser takes 2nd, followed by Paul Tracy.
