Dale Earnhardt Jr. prevails after a dominant run.

Earnhardt fends off Bobby Labonte and then holds on against Jeff Burton to capture his 2nd straight restrictor plate race. Earnhardt leads 67 of 188 laps, and runs in the top 5 for most of the race. Labonte grabs the lead with 4 laps to go, but Earnhardt regains the lead and then Labonte falls victim to the "Big One" on the backstretch on the final lap.

Tony Stewart finishes 2nd followed by Burton in 3rd. Earnhardt's DEI teammate, Michael Waltrip leads 53 laps before succumbing to an overheated engine.
