Game Notes

Angels advance to the World Series with a 13-5 win on the strength of a 10-run 7th inning.

Joe Mays is solid, and Minnesota's offense scores 3 times in the 7th for a 5-3 lead. But the Twins send 3 relievers to the mound in order to record just 1 out in the 7th as the Angels put together 8 straight hits as part of the outburst, highlighted by Adam Kennedy's 3-run HR that gave the Angels a 6-5 lead.

Kennedy becomes the 3rd player to record 3 HRs in an LCS game, with his last being the big blow. However, the Angels don't finish with Kennedy's go-ahead homer, as the next 9 batters reach base before Bob Wells is able to get the final 2 outs.
