Minnesota takes advantage of Oakland miscues to break a 2-2 tie with a 7-run 4th and force the series to a Game 5. Eric Milton goes 7 innings, scattering 6 hits and 2 runs.

After the A's strike for a pair of runs in the top of the 3rd, the Twins answer with 2 runs, tying it on David Ortiz's RBI double. The 4th starts with Doug Mientkiewicz's harmless looking single, but after a 1-out walk by A.J. Pierzynski, the wheels come off for Oakland as a throwing error on Miguel Tejada allows the go ahead run to score. Tim Hudson uncorks a wild pitch, scoring another run, and hits the next batter. Another wild pitch and another throwing error later, the Twins are rolling to a 9-2 lead.
